Paranoia

So, I know it's infrequent to feel the babe at this point, and I know I felt that kiddo on Friday. Since then? Nothing. Or, at least nothing I can tell for sure. Ofcourse this has me in a full blown panic that next Tuesday when we do our ultrasound, something will be wrong. How often did you other mamas feel baby at about 19.5wks?

For me, I felt the baby the most after I ate something... normally something sugary! However, today at the appointment that baby was moving a TON and I didn't feel a thing. It all depends on how they are positioned. If the hands and feet are towards your organs there may be no feeling the kicks because there is a lot of padding to absorb the impact. Don't worry! I know from me being me that is not easy to do, but you are fine!! :) Can't wait to hear what you are having!

I have a hard time remembering with Meggie - it seems she was always moving. But, with #2, I was worried because in the timeframe you're describing, I would only feel her about once a day every couple of days. My midwife said feeling her so infrequently was totally normal for that stage of development - they're still so tiny. Once she got bigger (maybe around 25 weeks), I could discern her movements more easily. It could also be the way Baby 001 is positioned or where he/she is lying...sometimes their positioning makes them harder to feel.

Hope this helps! Love you!

I felt him about 17-18 weeks for sure. Especially if you're lying down still.
Congrats!!!

Oh Kaitlin! I can only imagine the fear racing through your thoughts! Thank goodness you and Baby "find out what you are next week" O are doing fantastic. Maybe you could get a workout ball (you know those ones that blow up and you are supposed to do crunches on?) and use that as a chair at work. You could bounce up and down on it to keep your legs moving and working, and it helps with posture too... serious, google it! Glad you are okay, you gave me a fright!
